The Captain House: Province of Lucca and Apuan Alps Regional Park Offices
Already present on the maps of the 16th century, it is one of the buildings which were originally the quarters of the Fortress's commanding officer and officials. In the 1700s, when the ancient Romanesque church of San Pantalone was abandoned because of its bad conditions, a chapel surmounted by a small bell gable was built here, where the religious services for the inhabitants of the fortress were held.
Now, the building provides a small meeting room for 20 people, equipped with a projector and a computer, where courses can be held, and two Apuan Alps Park offices on the ground floor; the offices of the Province of Lucca and the Regional Apuan Alps Park are on the first and second floors.
